What is happening with the Columbkille Award? When will we know if we received one?

The Columbkille Award directly depends on what you have been awarded from the EdChoice Scholarship. The sooner you are able to apply, and we can see the amount of funding you receive from EdChoice, the sooner we are able to give you that information. Each family’s combination of scholarships/awards will be unique to them.

Will we still have the School Life Scholarship and the Parish Life Scholarship?

No. We are still finalizing the details, but the School and Parish Life Scholarships will be replaced by EdChoice and the Columbkille Award.

Are the requirements for the School and Parish Life Scholarships eliminated?

No. We still want you to be involved in the school! While the money rewarded will partially be coming from the state, St. Columbkille will still be subsidizing part of your child’s education. We are asking our families to continue to participate in fundraising, contributing to the Angel Scholarship fund, and volunteering at one event per semester.

What are the requirements I need to fulfill to earn the Columbkille Award?

There are no specific requirements to receive the Columbkille Award.

In this time where EdChoice applications are being reviewed, what are we paying for tuition?

The original rate we outlined last year. You should continue to make payments as you would normally do. The money coming from EdChoice will be refunded back to you. THIS WILL ONLY HAPPEN THIS YEAR. After this initial application, you will be renewing in the Spring rather than applying right before school starts. You will know before the school year ends if your EdChoice Scholarship amount has changed for the following school year.

Is EdChoice based on gross income or adjusted gross?

2022 Adjusted Gross Income

If you don’t submit EdChoice, will you have to pay $6,165?

Yes.

How does the Angel Scholarship help to lower tuition?

More information about this scholarship can be found by clicking here.

Who should I contact if I have more questions?

Nancy Joyce. You can email her at njoyce@stcolumbkilleschool.org or call her at 216-524-4816 ext. 23.

Can one student receive both Jon Peterson and EdChoice?

No, however, if you have one student who applies for Jon Peterson and one (or more) who do not, please still apply for the EdChoice scholarship for your remaining children.

Does EdChoice renew each year or is this a one-time scholarship?

EdChoice renews every year in the spring.
